Later edition of Burnet's abstract and commentaries on Hippocrates, first published in Edinburgh, 1685. Burnet (1635?-1715), the son of an eminent Scotch lawyer, studied medicine at Montpelier. After graduating in 1659, he settled in Edinburgh, where he became in succession physician to Charles II, James VII, William III and afterwards to Queen Anne.
