First edition. The town of Saco, Maine, responded immediately to the news of Lincoln's assassination by closing all businesses and calling a town meeting on Saturday, April 15, 1865. This pamphlet, which was printed on the 19th of April, contains a report of the proceedings of the meeting, including resolutions, description of a procession through the town, and a eulogy of the president.
