With two hundred illustrations and edited by Olive Risley Seward, this work provides detailed observations of the author’s world tour, which made stops in China, Japan, Siam, Cambodia, India, Egypt, Aden, Palestine, Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany and England. Notably the first important political figure to embark on a massive trip around the world at the time, Seward’s work is a fascinating and useful travelogue.
