First American edition, first published in England in 1925. The author describes in detail not only the places in Morocco that he visited, but also his experiences with the people. For example, he relates the account of a feast at which he was a guest. He also discusses the history of the country and the inhabitants of the distinct parts thereof. The full-page photographic illustrations convey a sense of the “Moorish” architecture of Morocco as it appeared in the early part of the twentieth century.
