Only edition of this unrecorded dissertation by Maloet (1684-1742), an esteemed doctor who published on a variety of subjects during his lifetime. Maloet maintained that "life spirit" is housed in the blood. He describes how the blood's chemical process of respiration produces the heat responsible for animation and movement.
